Description: Do you have 100% of your students completing your homework? Are students in your classes routinely using your homework assignments as learning tools? Yes? Then this session is not for you!!! This session is designed to challenge your views on HW, and help you utilize research based HW strategies.
Speakers: Frank Wapole: Frank taught 8th Grade Math and Algebra 1 for ten years in West Dundee, IL prior to becoming the Math Department Chair at Jacobs high School in Algonquin IL. Frank is finishing his third year as a Math Department Chair, and presented at the 2019 NCTM Annual conference. Evan Borkowski: Evan taught 8th Grade Math and Algebra 1 for 14 years at Algonquin Middle School in Illinois. For the past 3 years, he has transitioned into a Math Instructional Coach supporting all middle schools within the district (CUSD 300). This year, Evan was given the opportunity to present at the ICTM math conference. He is always looking forward to sharing ideas about the latest research and trends in math education.
