Come join us at Nepantla Teacher's Mini-Conference Aug 5-6, 2016 in Chicago (Depaul University).  Our main focus will be on understanding some of the history in U.S. education that will help explain some of the disparities we see in our classroom. (Often a perspective math teachers don't receive). We'll have workshops by Dr. David Stovall, Dr. Rochelle Gutierrez, Francis Harper, Karie Brown-Tess and local teachers on having more democratic classrooms. This, along with open dialogue and some fun math problems.
