ICTM Webinar next Monday 11/14: Adam Poetzel on Desmos Activities!

Join us for a webinar with Adam Poetzel — former ICTM Board Member, Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, and one of the first Desmos Fellows next Monday afternoon, on Using Desmos Activity Builder Lessons in the Classroom.

Adam will lead us in a live exploration of the Desmos Activity Builder — an amazing, flexible, and free technology tool to create learning activities for classroom use. You’ll learn to access, use, and edit a growing library of engaging lessons shared by Desmos and by other teachers. Whether you teach 5th grade or AP calculus, Desmos activities can be used to engage your students in meaningful concept application, development, and discussion.

Whether you are a Desmos pro or have never seen it before, this will be a valuable learning experience. (If you’re new to Desmos, Adam encourages you to try out the calculator at https://www.desmos.com, or try some Activities at https://teacher.desmos.com, before the webinar. And we know you’ll have a device handy during the webinar as well!)

The webinar will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 3:30 PM CST. Space is limited. You can register at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/2450165283980063489

Once you register, you’ll get a confirmation email with more directions on how to join. We hope you’ll be there! And thanks for being a member of ICTM — your support makes these webinars possible.
